For better or worse, I tend to enter a viewing session of an Alexander Wang collection or anything concepted by Isabel Marant with a preconceived notion: I’m going to like it. The same goes for Olivier Theyskens’ seasonal Theory unveiling; I have expectations that I’m going to see “cool” clothes that will eat my heart out.

When it came to Theyskens’ Fall 2012 lineup, I was right–somewhat. While I could have done without the too-typical separates and the borderline-matronly dresses, several sexy pieces served to appease me–including a sheer, bejeweled frock that barely covered the naughty bits, a black leather jumpsuit and several takes on retro hotpants. Word to the wise: You can always win me over with a good pair of hotpants.
