Calling to mind an Egyptian princess, I love the detailed beading and bold gold color that define much of the wearable art-slash-accessories created by designer Ashley Scott.

Her latest pieces in her extensive collection incorporate bright colors, bold shapes and interesting textures. Made up of large gold circles and meant to be worn across the forehead, the Bamboo Banger headpiece is one of my favorites. Other statement pieces include the woven red earrings that drape down to their wearer’s shoulders. While some of the pieces are smaller, they feature intricate details that make them no less extravagant.
