It is my personal opinion that there is a message behind the “Ode to the Future” collection by Singapore’s L’ile Aux Ashby line. Super-sized pieces composed of simple shapes, the jewelry is best described as exotic, with a modern edge—and fuses futuristic elements with those that skew tribal.

Whether or not the pieces are meant to send the message that we are to look forward to the future and embrace it while staying connected to our roots and heritage is unclear—but that‘s my interpretation of the “statement” pieces, and I‘m sticking to it. -Jenae Green
