Yes, I know; I am boot-obsessed. Just ask the fellas who helped me move into my new apartment. The typical complaint was something to the effect of, “Moira, listen. You just have way too many shoes.” This, after I had purged myself of 16 or so pairs. My response? “But I really need them; I work in fashion!” Because of my movers, I realized that I may have an unhealthy relationship with shoes—and promised myself that I would only buy new shoes if I really, truly needed them, or if there was a pair I simply could not live without. Put these Chloe boots in the latter category. The thing is, I would actually wear these boots. A lot. Like, on an everyday basis. Brown suede lace-ups with a wedge heel, the shoes seem as though they’d be as comfortable as they are versatile—and I love the knit trim, which would work well with the many shearling jackets seen on the FW10 runways (oh, I need one of those, too). So, ladies and gentleman of the jury, I conclude by simply stating that I really, really do need these shoes. The defense rests its case.
