Natasha Rae is a busy lady. Fashion student by trade and fashion and style inspiration by popular demand, you can find her on her blog, Silent Doe, and also via her tumblr site, Pussy Money Weed. Then, when you’re done there, you can look her up on Chictopia, LOOKBOOK.nu and formspring. Natasha is certainly a girl of and in the moment and, what’s more, she’s pretty damn cute.

C40. How does Silent Doe differ from Pussy Money Weed?
NR. Silent Doe was my first blog, and I think it revolves more around fashion—where as Pussy Money Weed is just a place where I post things that I find to be aesthetically pleasing. On PMW, I used to post more dark fashion photos, but—in the past few months—I’ve really started to post a more diverse array of things and not follow a theme.

C40. How would you describe your aesthetic?
NR. Sometimes I feel like I have multiple personality disorder because I like really-dark, high-fashion, goth things, but—at the same time—I like corny, crazy, colorful things, as well; I’m a Gemini, so I think that’s part of it. I love all things vintage, whether they’re from the 1800s or the ’80s.

C40. Who are your style icons?
NR. My mom, Alexander McQueen, Poision Ivy (The Cramps), drag queens, Divine, Blondie, Cyndi Lauper, Lydia Lunch, The Golden Girls…the list could go on for days!

C40. What do you do when you’re not blogging?
NR. I’m a full-time fashion design student, so that takes up a lot of my time. Other than that, I spend a lot of my time sewing and making art at home, going on adventures and discovering new places and people, hanging out with my family and my boyfriend and going to shows.

C40. Who are your favorite up-and-coming designers?
NR. Katie Gallagher, Marko Mitanovski, Nadia Napreychikov, Rachel Freire…and many others!

C40. How often do you change your hair?
NR. I used to change it all of the time, but I’m trying to grow it out right now, so it’s been driving me crazy not coloring it!

C40. When you have nothing else to wear, what is your go-to outfit?
NR. A high-waisted skirt, lace tights and a sequin top.

C40. What are you currently coveting?
NR. Leather patchwork bags, lace tights and additions to my collection of John Waters films.

C40. What trend are you hating right now?
NR. People wearing glasses that have no lenses.

C40. Who are you currently stalking?
NR. With Asian Stereotypes, Luxirare, Candy Nippon and No Discount
