Fashion: On The Runway
Mara Hoffman
Friday, March 5th, 2010
In case it hasn’t been blatantly obvious in my previous posts, I’ll state it again: I am obsessed with the tribal trend. Ethnic prints and beading of any kind immediately draw me to a collection, and there is something about the look’s bright colors and designs that remind me of warm weather. Come to think about it, my current obsession makes perfect sense; completely and totally over winter, I’m ready to concentrate on better and brighter things—like, for instance, SUMMER!
Since, for many, spring break (aka, the greatest week of the year) is right around the corner, I thought I’d talk swimwear—my means of living vicariously through those headed for warmer climates. When considering what type of swimwear to rock on the beach, I have but one suggestion: suits by Mara Hoffman. The tribal trend and Hoffman’s innovative swimwear styles live harmoniously in her Resort 2010 collection, and I’m in love. From cover-ups to turbans, and even an amazing jumpsuit, this collection makes me want to run to the airport and jump on the earliest plane to any city that has sand. Seriously, is it summer yet?
