Fashion: On The Runway

Etro FW10 @ Milan Fashion Week

Where do I start? The Etro FW10 collection seemed to have taken a world of inspiration from vibrant and diverse countries, from Egypt to China. With the collection’s ethnic aesthetic and highlighting of beautiful colors, each piece provoked visions of an ancient Egyptian queen, drenched in larger than life jewelry, or a Chinese empress wearing a slinky silk kimono. Consistent with seasons past, a rich mix of prints and textures were part of Etro’s appeal. But, with the addition of fitted power suits and toga-like dresses this season, the collection seemed more timeless, sexual and pro-female empowerment than ever before.

  1. The Egyptian and scarab jewelry that is showing up for Fall 2010 is fantastic.
