ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FW10 @ PARIS FASHION WEEK

The last collection by the late Alexander McQueen consisted of 15 regal, Rococo warrior looks. The collection was exemplary of a rare visionary—an ode to centuries past, combined with an air of modernity. McQueen continued to experiment with ideas from previous collections, though introduced a new means of engineering prints—digitally capturing works of art, and then weaving them into fabrics.

“With a haunting soundtrack of operatic music, the presentation was solemn, funereal and even a little spooky—and the references to angels, broken skulls and religious themes eerily prescient,” reports WWD. Despite the understandable, obvious cloud that hung over the presentation, the artist’s work was a bright spot; another beautiful collection, fit for McQueen.
