TUCKER

Peasant blouses, camisoles and tunics in an amazing array of poppy colors and interesting prints? Seemingly a description designed merely to make a bohemian girl’s ears perk up, it’s no tease; throw in a “disco dress”, drawstring pants, a floor-length dress, a couple of rompers and a wrap jacket, and you’ve got a near-complete account of the latest collection by Tucker (aka, my dream line).
Gaby Basora established Tucker in 2005 when she realized something was missing from her own wardrobe—pieces versatile enough to work in all facets of her life; a mother, a traveler and an art enthusiast at the time, she set out to create her first design—a silk blouse with a button-down front and a shirred neckline. Today, Basora’s signature creations are made up of self-designed, exclusive prints inspired by National Geographic magazines, novels and travel mementos; in each collection, you’ll find fabrics decorated with a variety of floral, animal and abstract prints. Each subsequent design in the line seemingly more beautiful than the last, the Tucker collection definitely has my attention.
