WITH HEARTS IN MY EYES

A few months ago, I created my Christmas wish list—picking the Victoria Beckham Perrault gown as my number-one wish. Needless to say, I didn’t find it underneath my Charlie Brown tree. However, as I was surfing my new favorite online indie boutique, Bona Drag, I found the perfect substitute.
It’s called the Sylvie dress—although I think it should be called the “Holy Mother of God, I look damn good” dress—and it’s by With Hearts In My Eyes. My newest obsession features a low, open back; a dramatic fishtail; extra-long sleeves and raw edges. As if it couldn’t get any better, it’s actually handmade. In fact, everything by With Hearts In My Eyes is handmade, and made to order.
The designer, Hannah Bartie, specializes in young twists on feminine classics—perfect for anyone seeking that coveted “super-cool girl who’s not trying to hard” look. Case in point: Bartie made the popular lace flair pants worn by Rumi of Fashion Toast.
Bartie’s take on romanticism is miles away from any of shade of pink. It’s like she’s designing with me in mind.
