Single and a shoe lover, these hardware-heavy must-haves by Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte SS10 call to mind two things: the quote that has enabled me to spend way too much on fab footwear since 2003 (”The fact is, sometimes it’s hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. Effective once, yes—but equipped with sheet metal, mini-screws, claws (which I’m loving even more than my beloved spikes) and nuts as heels, I’d be way more confident using these as weapons. Super-”special”, and safety precautions? Two legitimate reasons I must purchase now.
