When asked to sum up her FW10 collection, Wenlan Chia, designer behind Twinkle by Wenlan, response was, “A mix of fairy tale and haunted romance.”  Feminine and delicate, the collection played into Wenlan’s fairy tale vision. The short dresses especially channeled the fairy tale theme with a variety of looks including  bubble skirts, bow-tie shoulders and romantic lace. While her collection may have been inspired by princesses and dreams come true, appealing to women in the 21st century was a top priority for the designer. “I design for the everyday woman. I ask myself would I wear it, will my girlfriends wear it?” I can answer that question with a confident yes. Her collection is versatile enough for a fabulous night on the town or romantic walk in the park on a clear fall night .
