At Soho Grand Hotel, newbie and force to be reckoned with, Katie Gallagher declared 2010 the year of the fembots. She continues to update her sci-fi, body con, structured aesthetic each season. For FW10 she introduced silvers, creams, greys and galactic scars on their eyes. Gallagher said that she looked to an abstract painting she created. “It looks like a winter scene with trees and pastels washed out colors, very drippy.” Stay tuned for my upcoming interview with Gallagher where I ask her about fembots, post-apocalyptic galactic warfare and her fascination with cats.
