BURBERRY PRORSUM FW10 @ LONDON FASHION WEEK
Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Fall’s theme of texture continued with Burberry Prorsum’s FW10 collection in the form of chunky knits, lace, shearling and snakeskin. There were some seriously sick boots revealed, and my heart fluttered as each spectacular, tailored jacket made its way down the catwalk; this collection was chock-full of amazing coats. Those, along with its appropriate-for-fall palette of camouflage colors, and I was done. If I had one critique, it would be the models’ lack of bottoms. Although here at Corridor40, we are fans of the “no pants” look, I am ready for this trend to move on. This is a fall collection, and I’m not a size zero. I need trousers, a skirt, shorts, something.
Even so, designer Christopher Bailey won over my affections by throwing some satin, ruching and fur into the mix. Upon first sight, it was over; O-V-E-R. Shades of wine, chartreuse and midnight blue rounded out the incredible show. I was, and still an, in love.
