Belle & Bunty SS10
Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
I love British lines that incorporate both class and flair, and this is exactly what I discovered with Belle and Bunty. It was first drawn to my attention by Attilio, and I immediately fell in love. Their collections have staple pieces with a lot of spunk to them. When I saw the line I first thought of my friend Susie who lived in England to teach for a semester last year. She is cute, and totally pulled together–just like this collection!
My favorite part about Belle and Bunty is that the designers are best friends who both love what they do. Alice Shreeve and Hannah Coniam went to the London College of Fashion together, and began their line in 2002. Since then, they have gained recognition and an elite following including stars like Lindsay Lohan.
Their SS10 collection makes me a believer that mixing prints and colors can be done right. Their collection shows a mixture of florals and plaids, and even some tweed and lace. I’m in love. The entire collection just screams “I’m effortlessly chic and ready for anything summer throws at me.” I picture myself on a date at a picnic or on a yacht in any one of these dresses. Now if only I could find this guy with a yacht… Maybe until then I’ll just stick with the clothes!
