Grecian-inspired dresses, lush prints and bold pops of color filled Matthew Williamson’s FW10 collection. In addition to the modern structures and bright hues, Williamson gave his latest collection a dash of maturity with gray tweed outwear and fitted, dark military jackets. His collection stayed conscious of a broad range of consumers, from those willing to take fashion risks (hello hot pink coat!), to women who know what they like and stick to it (gray slouch trousers). Strategic layering added a sense of depth to the overall appeal of his collection, perfect for fall yet avoiding predictability. Overall, Williamson did not disappoint this season; his signature playfulness was apparent in each piece and isn’t that why we love him in the first place?
