Hats scare me. I’ll be the first to admit that the last time I wore a hat was when I forced into wearing one as an infant. And even then, I’m sure I threw it off in a fit of frustration (much like I do now). My head looks weird in hats. Maybe this is because I feel like I have an abnormally large head and don’t want to draw any unnecessary attention to it. But a great headband is something I’ve always wanted to wear (especially a feather one). For some reason I think they only look good on really girly, cutesy types of girls. Every time I try to pull one off it doesn’t seem to work (Cue sad violin music).

But my timidness toward hats and headbands doesn’t mean I don’t think they look great on other people. I’m completely jealous of anyone that can pull off a great hat (Cough, Moira, Cough). When I was really into Gossip Girl, I kept noticing some amazing headbands that Blair was wearing. Not knowing where they came from, I did some research and found Jennifer Ouellette. It turns out the Gossip Girl star isn’t the only one crazy for Jennfier’s designs. Celebrities such as Zooey Deschanel, Reese Witherspoon, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Kate Hudson, Hilary Duff and Gwen Stefani, to name a few, are all fans of her headbands and hats.

What makes me love Jennifer Ouellette even more? She’s a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Textile and Apparel Management (my alma mater).
