Meet Me at the Ballet- Rachel Antonoff SS10
Tuesday, January 19th, 2010
Recently, I came across my old grade school yearbooks, and I took some time to look back on the days of my youth. While some things have not changed—my love for tights; my long, dark locks—there are many other aspects that have definitely changed. One thing found in my 5th grade yearbook that really made me laugh was the page that had me list what I wanted to be when I grew up. My answer? A dance instructor.
Well, my career goals have changed a bit–but my love for dance remains. Although my childhood dancing career lasted a whole year, and involved me getting the time wrong for my big recital and never performing, I have always loved dance. Going to the ballet in NYC a few years back was amazing, and I plan on going again during my next trip.
So, what am I getting at with all this dance talk? Well, I discovered Rachel Antonoff’s SS10 line, and it brought me back to my dance-loving days. Paired with ballet shoes and all, the line’s dresses are feminine, as well as flowy and floral (my 3 favorite f’s!). I instantly fell in love. The pastel colors, as well as the lace, make me want to be dainty and beautiful in a Rachel Antonoff look. I owe it to the 5th grader.
