A few weeks ago, C40 writer Stephanie turned us on to the joys of Louis Goldin. Not only is Goldin the rightfully-dubbed “queen of knits”, but–with her latest venture–she also brings a whole new light to the term “killer heels”.

Because of the studs alone, you can wear them and look fashion-forward. Because of the spikes (and I’m a fan of spikes!), you can use your feet as weapons, too–no CCW license needed! I doubt any DB will mess with me when I’m stomping down Washington Ave. in these babies. Available in black and silver, these pumps are certainly DIY-able, but I’d rather wait for the real deal. They’ll be arriving at Topshop next summer, but the head honchos are keeping their lips tightly-sealed about any release date or price range.

Unlike most designer/retail collaborations, Goldin’s Topshop collection seems to incorporate many of the details from her recent runway collection. And, as it’s being sold at Topshop, it’s certain to be sold at attainable pricess–which will make me very happy; wish the same attitude was shared by the club rats who are sure to “accidently” spill drinks on me while I’m wearing these heels.
