10. Kate Gosselin’s reverse mullet. This definitely goes in the bad category. However, this hairstyle inspired many people this year (yikes!), and even more Halloween costumes.

9. The Lady Gaga. I’m a self-proclaimed Gaga fan; in  my eyes, she can do no wrong. Whether her hair is up or down, curly or straight, it’s always interesting. Even if people don’t “get it” or think it’s weird, I–for one–applaud Lady Gaga for taking chances.

8. Tyra Banks shows the world her “natural” hair. For a woman who openly admits to wearing wigs and weaves, I commend Ms. Banks for showing us what lies beneath.

The good- Nicole Kidman’s triumphant return to her natural red. Much better, Nicole, much better. Now, if we could only get this Australian beauty to lay off the Botox…

The OK- Scarlett Johansson goes red.

The bad- Jessica Alba goes red. In all honesty, this was probably step 1 in a 2-step process of going back to brown, from blond. The moral of the story? Don’t get photographed mid-color changes.
