The trend started out slowly but has steadily gained momentum. What am I talking about? Bleached blond brows. The lack of visual brows has been around for two seasons now, and it looks like it might be here to stay. Shown for SS10 by such heavy hitters as Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, Jonathan Saunders, Nina Ricci and Prada, one could certainly assess that trying this trend would put one in the ranks of the most fashion-forward. However, be forewarned: when it comes to this look, tread lightly through the murky area of runway-to-reality.

If you’re worried about going blond, good call. Bleaching your brows is a huge undertaking, and should definitely be done by a professional. Even if you’re just interested in lightening or enhancing the color of your brows, definitely make an appointment versus taking on the trend DIY-style. As it’s a tricky feat, you’ll probably end up having to see a licensed colorist or aesthetician anyway–so save yourself from the embarrassment and the risk of blinding yourself.
