Is Isabel Marant the new cool? It certainly seems that way–with her perfect combination of boho and pirate-inspired looks for SS10; always a story within her collection, even her accessories are pirate-esque. It’s exciting to see the Isabel Marant show each season; I am always in awe of how she creates her looks, roughs them up with wearability and then pulls it all back with luxe textures and prints.

For SS10, Isabel Marant incorporated unique extras like feathered earrings, slouchy pirate boots and chain-mail scarves–each of which seem like they came from different countries around the world. With Marant’s signature rocker look on the backburner, bohemian tie-dyes and striped lurex are her latest–which makes sense; you can put these easy pieces on, escape the tough times in which we are living and just be free.

Obviously this collection will have the boho princesses of the world feeling like kids in a candy store–but, those set in their rocker ways need not worry; Marant’s new chain mail scarves and leather skirt are sure to keep you relevant. Overall, this collection is overloaded with sexy pieces likely to satisfy all realms of the style-obsessed set.  Though, with Marant’s track record, all may soon decide they want to be a pirates.
