After dropping a myriad of mixtapes over the past three years, the homegrown Washington D.C. rapper Wale released his first full-length studio album titled Attention Deficit.

The album’s production incorporates many different composers, including hip-hop hit-makers The Neptunes, mixtape mogul DJ Green Lantern and English DJ and producer Mark Ronson.  Ten of the album’s 14 tracks feature appearances by other artists, including duets with pop divas Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

Attention Deficit brims with forward-thinking fashion enthusiasts, including Wale himself.  The DC rapper embraces several international style icons throughout his album, and mentions many of the globe’s most influential fashion capitals with familiarity.

Intermixed with his Bape garment and BBC shotouts, Wale conveys many intelligent stories and critiques about society.

In the chorus of 90210, Wale sings, “And she throws up whatever she eats  / She leaves the bathroom with a nose bleed / Regular girl, Celebrity dreams / She is 90210.”  The coke-addled babe from the Hills is a subject that many artists have tackled before, but Ronson’s beats and Wale’s delivery keep the subject refreshing.
