For my C40 writing debut, I thought the best way to start things off would be by announcing one of my favorite vintage stores on eBay–the infamous MakiMaki. I don’t know if everyone is well-versed on the ins and outs of eBay vintage stores, but MakiMaki Vintage has to be one of the best. 

As they are located in Canada and came about in 2000, MakiMaki has been featured on MTV and has appeared in Venus Magazine. Another aspect that I adore about MakiMaki, other than the remarkable clothing selection, is the in-house model. She has been with them since the beginning, and I absolutely love her killer-cool attitude that evokes in every shot. Also, those stellar tattoos that are all over her body just add to the MakiMaki flare.

MakiMaki definitely stays up with the trends of the seasons and have reinforced the memo of the ’80s and ’90s revival. Mini dresses, extravagant jackets and grunge have swarmed the MakiMaki store. Currently, they have stocked their showroom with solid colored bondage dresses from the ’90s and playful Donald Duck cropped denim jackets. The piece I am eyeing is a vintage Givenchy slouchy metallic jacket. It’s edgy and just my kind of flavor.

One added bonus to MakiMaki is their excellent customer service.  Online stores can sometimes be deceptive with their products. But MakiMaki has a 99.5% rating, so you are guaranteed high quality items.
