Fashion: The Scoop

IDOL LONDON

“Beat me, bruise me, use and abuse me—parade me around town, sleep with me or toss me aside. Worn, scarred and used. More radiant than before. I am yours to do with as you will. All I ask is your love.”

London’s calling me, thanks to Idol London, a jewelry line designed by Jess James. This line is chock full of color-treated diamonds, heavyweight silver, hard rhodium and gold plate finishes meticulously designed to create huge, statement, badass rings. These diamonds are not for the faint of heart, my friend. I’m pretty sure these rings will melt your face off, and that’s a risk that I’m willing to take.

You may be wondering what’s with the “beat me, bruise me” poem. James says the poem is a description of how she hopes the jewelry is used. The pieces are made to be worn daily, to be lived in, loved and occasionally abused. They’re robust and heavy and although they will pick up dents and bruises along the way—they are made to survive a long, hard and eventful life.

James has created THE ring for girls and guys alike. Not only are they beautiful and totally customizable, they’re made to withstand some motorcycle maintenance, the occasional stairway make-out session or falling out of a cab at 4 in the morning. God bless Jess James.

Idol London is available for a cool $1700-$2200 a piece in London and at Traffic in LA.
