For Spring 2010, Prada takes us back to youth with long, straight-haired pigtails. The pigtail look is fun and flirty–wear it with side-swept bangs like the models do here for a more laissez faire look or straight across bangs for a more innocent but sexy appeal. Reminiscent of the young girl from Nabokov novel, Lolita, one of Prada’s models even dons a pink pair of almost heart-shaped sunglasses in addition to the bright red lips.

What’s more, we see hints of ruffle, high-legged swimwear and some bare midriffs. And the throwback to the jelly sandals children wore in the 90s only adds to the idyllic image of childhood. The innocent yet sexy look seems to be all the rage when the heat sets in this spring! Oh, Sigmund Freud, how you must be proud.
