British label Bolongaro Trevor made its SS10 American debut at Bakers Presents Emerge. An audience favorite, the finale collection was well worth the wait. Parading down the catwalk, models donning silk dresses, diamond studded mini shorts and distressed jean jackets made it hard not to fall in love with Bolongaro Trevor’s distinct, yet modern collection.
Staying true to their British roots, faded British flag prints were a theme among the collection as well as men’s blazers in the blue, red and white print. Letting no detail go unchecked, open-toed heels and socks made a statement while T-dresses embellished with cowl necks were a new take on a contemporary trend.
The show ended with the last homage to Britain with an inside-out Beatles inspired Sgt. Peppers jacket paired with fitted black and gray paint splattered jeans. Just when I thought British fashion couldn’t get any better, Bolongaro Trevor has proved me wrong and upped the ante for cult designers everywhere.
