WELCOME TO THE GARAGE

A few weekends ago I was able to live out my rock-and-roll fantasy. It all started with four words, “Welcome to the Garage” at Ivcich & Asbed’s Garage Event held at the Old Rock House. A true stimulation for the senses, it’s a great way to find out what Ivcich & Asbed is really all about. And really, where else are you able to shop, drink, eat cupcakes, dance, laugh and listen to live music all at the same time?
The “garage” was set up—appropriately—on chain-linked fencing and divided into four sections—trust apparel, strength apparel, love apparel and happy apparel. Each section had a Bake Naked model to go with it, handing out the yummiest cupcakes. Behind them were pieces of the Garage Apparel collection divided accordingly. Under the love apparel section I found a reconstructed Bob Dylan tour shirtdress, which I plan on wearing as soon as possible.
Another item that caught my eye were their “cutie pie” panties. Comfortable enough to wear around the house and still sexy enough to be seen in just in case your man just happens to drop by.
But Ivcich & Asbed isn’t just a clothing line and Garage Event isn’t about selling their clothes. It’s an attitude. It’s a way of life. In other words, it’s Love Drunk.
Later in the night, their band, Love Drunk, took the stage with video installation in the background, dancers on the stage, roller girls on the floor and a plushie delivering lemondrop shots to the band. Needless to say, with the band, the plushie, the fashion and the cupcakes, I got a little love drunk that night and woke up with a love hangover.
Come check out the Garage for yourself on Thursday, October 29 at the Halo Bar where Love Drunk will be playing an acoustic set. Ivcich & Asbed will be coming soon to sell their apparel at Suite 100 inside the Pageant.
