It’s The End Of The World As We Know It…

Group show PRETHUNDERDOME opens at White Flag Projects November 7th

Opening reception: 7-10pm

While you won’t encounter scenes of skies on fire, frantic crowds dodging a meteor downpour or other apocalyptic clichés, PRETHUNDERDOME will offer suggested scenarios of an impending end to civilization. The exhibition aims towards a deliberately disorienting, dream-like experience conjuring emotions of overwhelming dread with the potential to dissolve into weightless acceptance.

PRETHUNDERDOME will feature work by internationally acclaimed artists: Ronnie Bass, Rolf Belgum, Andrew Bush, Jose Davila, Stan Gaz, Andrew Guenther, Karen Gunderson and Jason Lazarus. Alongside these contemporary artists the show will also include a pair of pre-Columbian figures, a collection of end of the world theories pulled from the internet and videos featuring master synthesizers asserting their skills through performing the theme to Blade Runner.

If nothing else, the threat of dooms day is the ultimate excuse to have yourself a good time. Opening reception for PRETHUNDERDOME will be Saturday November 7th, 7 to 10pm. You’ll want to be there.
