Oversized Coats for Winter

Pretty soon, in Saint Louis, we will all stop complaining about the heat and humidity and start complaining about the cold and snow. Faced with the inevitable turning of the seasons, I have decided to look on the bright side of the months to come–like the excitement of buying a new coat for the winter. There was a vast array of coat trends seen on the FW09 runways, ranging from oversized collars and ruffles to bright colors and muted tones, and all can be found at affordable prices in St. Louis.
The looks that really caught my eye were by Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Preen and Chloe. Louis Vuitton stunned with big ruffles, while Chloe showed that oversized coats are the way to go. Either way, bigger seems to be better for fall. I especially love this yellow oversized coat by Preen, which makes evident the fact that yellow isn’t just a summer color.
