So, my favorite show from the summer (and now fall) was “So You Think You Can Dance“. The dancing is freaking unreal and, overall, it is just really entertaining. You may be wondering what the f this has to with fashion, but I’m getting to that. So, I was watching a few weeks ago (clearly, before the new fall season started), and Mia Michaels was one of the judges (for all of you non-SYTYCD people, she is a choreography genius). Although she is not usually known for her good fashion sense, this night, I had to pause my TiVo to inspect her outfit further. I realized what it was about her outfit that made me loved it so much; her necklaces were insane. She had pearls mixed with gems mixed with gold and silver; there was a lot going on–and I loved it.

Now, it seems, everywhere I look, there are people who have piled-on their necklaces. What a great idea! Take a simple look, pair it with a gazillion necklaces and you go from casual to dressy in mere seconds. Plus, you don’t need to worry about finding matching necklaces; just throw on what you have! Take that simple chain you have, put it with the chunky necklace you’ve only worn once and voila!–you’ll have a stylish accessory that goes with anything.  When I was cruising the Internet to find images of trendsetters sporting the look, I came across a picture of my younger cousin rocking the look as well as any celebrity out there and this was for her prom!  If only I could have been this stylish for my prom… Oh, well..
