FARYL ROBIN SHOES
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
My goodness, I am a sucker for shoes. One could easily use the word obsessed when it comes to my feelings about shoes, and I wouldn’t be offended. Just hand me a t-strap heel, a boot, a sandal, a pump, a wedge or bootie and I will consequently get immediately excited. I love it all!!! I’m not sure what it is about shoes, but I have a hunch; though often blamed for my many fashion obsessions, I think it’s true; I get it from my mom. Sometimes I’m thankful for inheriting her fashion-centeredness, but–more often–it frustrates me.
My latest shoe obsessions are the designs of Faryl Robin. Consistently turning me on to new brands, I came across this fab line at Gilt Groupe–with which I have yet another of my love/hate relationships. Upon further investigation and some cyber-stalking, I came across the shopfarylrobin website. As stated, Faryl Robin shoes are designed for “women who work hard, play hard and who love to be out and about…with style.” So basically, they are perfect for me. My favorite aspect of the site is how the shoes are categorized–“Dangerous“, “Sweet“, “Vintage” and “Sexy“; as I like to think of shoes as mood elevators and the groundwork (no pun intended!) of any outfit, I can‘t think of a better way to organize them! Feeling dangerous today? Then go straight for the Mila. Want to add a little vintage to your look? Try the Venus. Do you want to be sexy and sweet? Go for Plum; she’s got it all… and so can you.
