A returning Saint Louis Fashion Week designer, Centro Models agent Paul Gibson was recently named one of ALIVE Magazine’s top-twenty Sexy & Successful honorees. Hard at work on his REIGN SS10 collection (which will debut during the Evolve show on October 17), Gibson took a break to talk style, celebs and when it’s okay to “skip” on the runway.

Q: What celeb would you love to dress?

A: I’d love to dress so manly celebrities, but I think I’d have the most fun with Kellan Lutz and Meagan Good. They’re both young and super-hot; but, mostly, their fearless attitudes make me think they can pull off anything.

Q: What’s your signature style?

A: I am such a simple guy. I love old jeans, fitted t-shirts and great boots. ALWAYS boots. Maybe a scarf or vest, depending on my mood. And I love scents; I have several colognes I alternate. I’m currently loving White Patchouli by Tom Ford.

Q: Alexander Wang or Alexander McQueen?

A: McQueen is a genius. Period. But, Wang is so current and wearable. He’s really what is going on right now and I respect his mixing of hard, soft and sleek details. I’d rock out with Wang!

Q: Who would be the ultimate model to walk your runway?

A: OMG…seriously, this is a near impossible question to answer; models are my world! I have so many, but I’d love Nick Lemons or Ben Hill for guys; Chanel Iman and Gemma Ward for girls. I’m not sure I can scale it down more than that!

Q: What is your favorite finale bow by a top designer (i.e. Betsey Johnson’s signaturecartwheel)?

A: I’ve always loved [DSquared2's] Dean and Dan Caten’s little “skip/jog and wave” they do at the end. They’re like two little chipmunks! I love them!
