Fashion: On Trend

Ride Or Die?

These are the rules in the motorcycle culture. Honestly, I’m pretty happy about anything that will allow me to buy a new jacket. Add leather, denim, studs, zippers and boots to the mix? I’m basically in biker heaven.

One of the biggest trends for FW09 is the motorcycle look. Thanks to designers Roberto Cavalli, Balmain, Julien Macdonald and Rick Owens, I’m getting my badass fashion fix for the fall. What I love most about the motorcycle look is that it’s relatively easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. Just pick up a fresh, new motorcycle jacket, purchase those leather pants you’ve been lusting after or scoop up a pair of studded skinny jeans. Or, if you don’t think you’re “biker chick” enough to pull off such pieces, rock the look with accessorieslike a studded leather cuff, a pair of Frye boots, a grommeted belt or a purse decked out with zippers. Either way, this is a trend you will have fun with–even if you drive a Honda Civic, versus a Harley or Ducati.

I’ve been known as a ride-or-die chic; I choose to ride. Will you?
