Fashion: On Trend
Miss New Bootie
Monday, August 31st, 2009
I think Carrie Bradshaw said it best: “The fact is, it’s really hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones every now and then to make the walk a little more fun.” If that’s not a motto to live by, then I don’t know what is! I’ve taken this quote to heart so much, I’ve even named some of my shoes after the men who’ve driven me to splurge. My favorites? The “Brad,” a quilted BCBG bootie, and the “Drew,” a pair of white top-zip gladiator heels.
I’m always on the hunt for pumps that’ll make my single girl swag a little more fabulous. If you too are craving a shoegasm, you‘re in luck; I‘ve narrowed down the crème de la crème. I’m currently obsessed with the bootie and the “shootie” (shoe + bootie) trends. These are some of my favorites:

1. Estella booties, shown in pewter. Available at Bakers. $89.95
2. Blazzer suede bootie with cuff, shown in bone. Available for pre-order at Steve Madden, St. Louis Galleria. $149.50.
3. Pour la Victoire bootie, shown in grey. Available at Nordstrom, West County Center. $340
And, if you want to make that single girl walk extra hot (or if he really broke your heart): Balmain suede boots with straps and buckles. $1,999; Available at luisaviaroma.com
